Workers Hubertus Model Boat Club 10/07/24
Despite some seriously light and variable winds, RO, Ian Forester was able to complete
seven heats at the Workers Hubertus Lake, last Wednesday.
Experience in these conditions was paramount, as John Wyatt, Peter Burton, Phil
Burgess and David Page positioned themselves well throughout the day to fill the top 4
places.
In the end it was John that claimed first place from Peter, based on the result of the last
race sailed. Having each scored the exact same results throughout the day.
Leading local sailors were David Page, Chris Giaquinto and Neil Johnston, – but really,
everyone competed well in these tricky conditions.
Local sailors benefited greatly from the infusion of these talented imports, so the T/T
series looks like a winner.
A special thanks must go to the RO Ian Forester and WHMBC for providing good clean
racing, interesting courses and some welcome prizes
This round of the TT Series will become a fixture on the NSWRYA Race Calendar from
now on
The next round of the DF95 TT will be at DAC on the 4 th August
