DF95 TT Round 3 Report

8 DF95 turned up for Round 3 of the Travellers Trophy Series. DAC is looking at expanding their RC fleet in the future and the DF95 is a good fit. Under the watchful of the RO, six races were sailed in difficult light conditions.

With the westerly breeze dropping off to nothing it was decided to call it a day.

And as normal a sea breeze started to fill in as everyone was leaving. But this did not last long and the decision to finish proved the correct one.

Racing was close with not much between the top five boats in each race.

Steve Findlay, RSYS, took the honours followed by Peter Newman from Vic. Peter is a 16ft Skiff builder in Melbourne and was delivering two new hulls to Lake Macquarie and their place went to John Wyatt from SMMC

The next event on the DF Calendar will be a DF65 TT on the 7th Sept at IRYC on Lake Illawarra.
