Notice to NSWRYA Members

The planned Susan McAnna Memorial Trophy Regatta for 2025 unfortunately has been stripped of its ranking event status for 2025 and we wanted to publish this widely to ensure those interested in attending were aware of this status change from previous years. This decision has been made by the ARYA Sailing committee as we were late in submitting the Notice of Race (NOR) and subsequent appeals with mitigating circumstances have also been rejected.

For clarity on the process, we are required to submit a completed NOR to the ARYA 6 weeks prior to an event for it to receive a ranking event status (note IOM Ranking is held at the ARYA level within our sport). In this particular events’ case there was some technology issues encountered in generating the NOR document and while working through those we did lose some time and consequently arrived 3 days late in providing the NOR to the ARYA.

NSWRYA apologises for this unfortunate set of circumstances and we hope that the event goes forward with KBRYC hosting what is a very special event on the IOM competition calendar as spectacularly as has been done before.

Please contact NSWRYA for any questions.

New South Wales Radio Yachting Association Committee.
